Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave AC Milan aged 41 as ex-Man Utd star gives update on future plans
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC will leave AC Milan this month once his contract expires – but he has no plans to retire despite being 41.
The Swedish star played a huge role in helping the club claim the Serie A title last season.

However, he has suffered a number of injury problems this term and has been restricted to just four appearances and one goal.
Ibrahimovic is in a race against time to shake off a muscle injury in order to be able to say a final farewell to Milan in their last match of the campaign on Sunday against Verona.
And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that his deal will not be renewed at the San Siro and that he will be leaving the club.
Although he claims the strike icon will be making a decision on his next move over the coming week.
Romano tweeted: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves AC Milan. The club have planned for farewell on Sunday at San Siro as contract expires and will NOT be extended. #ACMilan Ibra will turn 42 in October; he will make a decision on his future in the next days.”
The former Manchester United and Barcelona forward, who is already Serie A’s oldest ever goalscorer, was rumoured to be considering hanging up his boots.
But he told the Style supplement of La Gazzetta dello Sport this week: “I’m not one to give up. But there must also be joy in what you do, I can’t help but have peace in what I can do as number 1, playing football.
“But we’re not there yet. I think I still have something to give. If I think about quitting? I don’t think so. If I have to continue playing? I think so.

“But I have to find balance like in life. If you don’t have serenity, stability, you’re a bomb and the bombs explode.”
Italian minnows Monza are one of the clubs believed to be interested in signing the veteran goalscorer although they are understood to have concerns over his fitness.
However, Ibrahimovic added: “I’m fine, I’m fine. I’ve worked a lot, I’ve forced a lot, not only this year also last year. But when I was knocked out, the team needed me.
“And when you’ve done one thing all your life, when you know what you have to do but you can’t do it, then you continue.
“I won’t give myself peace. I haven’t found the balance. When everything comes, everything comes immediately. This thought is spinning in my head.
“My head is too strong, I feel like Superman every time I come back, but I have to have balance.”
