WWE star Sami Zayn shows off gruesome back injury after brutal fight with Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber

WWE superstar Sami Zayn revealed the full extent of his injuries after a hard-fought battle against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber.

Zayn came up short after a dramatic and controversial title match against Reigns on Saturday in his hometown of Montreal.

Sami Zayn lost to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns

The Canadian grappler left his heart and soul in the ring and even thwarted an interference from Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso.

However, Reigns put the 38-year-old out with a thunderous Spear to retain the title.

Zayn went though hell and back and proved it with a post-match photo showing his back filled with wounds and scratches.

Fans were left shocked with that sight and took to social media to praise the former Intercontinental Champion.

One supporter tweeted: “Gotta give it to him. He fought his heart out. Thank you Sami.”

Another commented: “Can’t believe you didn’t put him over.”

A third posted: “THE PEOPLES CHAMP.”

Zayn is unlikely to get a rematch at WrestleMania 39 as Reigns will defend his title against the Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes.

The ex-NXT Champion is more likely to team up with longtime friend Kevin Owens to challenge The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.
