Who is James Doleman?
Born on April 25, 1991, James Doleman was raised in Tauranga, New Zealand.
Doleman balanced studying in Dunedin with his interests of refereeing.
The New Zealand ref’s first breakthrough came when he officiated the 2019 World Rugby Under-20 Championship.

And by 2020, Doleman had officially signed his professional refereeing contract.
Since then, James has been in charge of a Super Rugby match between Rebels and Lions,
He has officiated three times in the 2020 Super Rugby Aotearoa season.
Plus, Doleman was the man in the middle for the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup encounter between Hawke’s Bay and Northland.

Doleman, 31, is making his Six Nations rugby debut as a referee in 2023.
But he is certainly no pushover as Darcy Swain found out as the Australian second row got sent off by Doleman last year against England.
