He was born on August 25, 1979 in Hampstead, London.
Harewood played as striker during his 20 year career.
He made his career debut in 1998 for Nottingham Forest.
He returned to the club as an academy coach after his retirement in 2016.

Where is Marlon Harewood now?
Harewood launched his business AC13 Premier in 2009, while he was still playing for Aston Villa.
AC13 Premier designs and customises luxury cars for clients.
Clients of his include Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, Andy Carroll and Kyle Walker.
Harewood told the Nottingham Post about his business and clients: “It’s good because I get to keep in contact with all the lads.
“I go to see if they need any help with their cars and have a chat about football.
“Having such high-profile clients isn’t strange to me because I obviously used to talk to these guys a lot in training but for our company it’s great – there can’t be many other businesses in Nottinghamshire with that kind of clientele.”
In April 2023 he stepped down as Managing Director of AC13 Premier.
He is also a club ambassador for the VIP lounge at the London Stadium.
Harewood said about the his role as ambassador: “I would say the four years I was at West Ham were the best years of my career.
“It was truly special and that’s why I’m honoured to be an ambassador for the Club now.
“I couldn’t think of anything better to do.
“It’s a privilege to be a part of this Club.”

Marlon is married to Danielle Harewood.
The pair has four children together and lives in Bingham, England.
