UGLY SCENES marred the Black Country Derby as West Brom fans began fighting with each other against Wolves.

Police were forced to intervene as chaos broke out in one corner of the Hawthorns – minutes after Matheus Cunha had put Wolves 2-0 up.

Supporters poured onto the pitch as security attempted to defuse a melee in the Birmingham Road End.

The game was suspended and both sets of players were taken off the pitch.

ITV commentator Sam Matterface said of the shocking scenes: “I can’t remember the last time I saw something like this happen at an English ground.”
