Ronaldo had opened the scoring before four goals in 17 minutes turned the match on its head.

His frustrations were made worse during the trophy presentation as Al-Hilal captain Salem Al-Dawsari coped Lionel Messi’s celebration.

It came after the crowd had chanted “Messi, Messi, Messi” at Ronaldo during the match.

The 39-year-old had been left furious with his team-mates, accusing them of “sleeping” after they conceded.

He could be seen gesturing in the centre circle, lifting his arms in the air and shrugging his shoulders.

Ronaldo even pretended to sleep during his furious rant before the match restarted.

The veteran forward then stormed down the tunnel at full-time and refused to accept his runners-up medal.

Instead, Al-Hilal celebrated on the pitch at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha.

Al-Dawsari even emulated Messi as he lifted the trophy in front of his team-mates.

The winger bobbed from side to side with the trophy before holding it aloft.

His antics were similar to Messi’s following Argentina’s World Cup final triumph over France in 2022.

Al-Hilal clinched the Super Cup after second half goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Malcom, either side of an Aleksandar Mitrovic brace.

Ronaldo had given Al-Nassr the lead before their second half capitulation.

His strike followed another goal in the semi-final win over Al-Taawoun.

The former Manchester United forward now has 60 goals in 66 appearances for Al-Nassr since signing for the club in January 2023.
