BERNARDO SILVA changed his mind about Manchester City’s chances of winning the Premier League title… in the middle of an interview.

City drew 0-0 at home to Arsenal on Easter Sunday and now have nine games left of the season to try and retain the league title.

City created few threatening chances as the Gunner defended impressively to keep Pep Guardiola‘s side to just one point.

But as Liverpool won their game 2-1 against Brighton it has left City trailing Arsenal by one point and the Reds by three in the table.

In the unlikely event all three teams win all their remaining fixtures City will finish third.

And midfielder Silva was honest that for City to stand a chance of winning a fourth straight title their rivals will have to drop points.

The Portugal international said after the game: “A lot can happen now, because [there are] seven games right?”

Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison then interjected, reminding Silva that City actually have nine games to go.

“Oh nine? That’s better for us,” Silva added with a smile. “I thought it was like seven or eight but nine is better because a lot can happen.”

The reporter jokingly asked: “Back in it?” to which Silva responded: “Yeah, we’re back in it.”

He continued: “Now we don’t depend on ourselves. We depend on Liverpool and Arsenal now because we don’t play against them again, so we need them to drop points as well as do our job and win our own games.”

Man City still face tough fixtures, hosting Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Silva, 29, joined City in 2017 from Monaco and has won five league titles with Guardiola’s side.

He has also secured two FA Cups, four League Cups and the Champions League in City’s Treble-winning previous campaign.
