SIR Andy Murray broke down after winning a dramatic Davis Cup match as he revealed it was the day of his gran’s funeral.
The emotional tennis legend revealed his heartbreak after producing a trademark winning performance to thrill Team GB fans.

His gran, Ellen, passed away on 31 August, with an emotional Murray telling the Manchester crowd he was missing her funeral.
In a post-match chat, the two times Wimbledon champ was told a 90-year-old woman was in the crowd to see her first live tennis clash to mark her birthday.
The generous ace, 36, promised to give her a “sweaty t-shirt” as a gift before opening up about the loss of his elderly loved one.
He said: “I’ve got a few sweaty t-shirts there if she would like.
“If she would like I can sort that out for her no problem.
“Today is a tough day for me, it’s actually my gran’s funeral today.”
Sir Andy was forced to halt his chat with Naomi Broady as he held back tears while the clearly moved crowd gave him a warm round of applause.
He added: “I’m sorry to my family that I’m not able to be there but, gran, that one’s for you. Thanks.”
Murray then walked back to his chair as his team-mates rallied round him at the Manchester showpiece.
Murray had earlier come through a thrilling encounter that gave Great Britain a winning start in their round-robin tie against Switzerland.
Warrior Murray edged past rising Swiss star Leandro Riedi 6-7 (7-9) 6-4 6-4 to keep hopes of a place in November’s eight-team knockout stage.
