Villarreal lining up transfer swoop for Man Utd’s Facundo Pellistri with Erik ten Hag willing to let winger leave
VILLARREAL have reignited their interest in Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri.
And the Spaniards hope they can get the Uruguay international on a permanent deal this month.

Pellistri, 22, has never come close to a regular run for the Red Devils since arriving from his home country for around £9million in 2020.
And he has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford this season despite seeing the likes of Antony and Marcus Rashford struggle in his position.
Pellistri last started for United in September and has since slipped further down the pecking order.
Alejandro Garnacho has emerged impressively this season while fellow wideman Amad Diallo was preferred off the bench in last week’s loss at Nottingham Forest.
Red Devils‘ boss Erik ten Hag is understood to be ready to led Pellistri leave.
Loan moves to Sevilla and Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s Nice have been rumoured.
But Pellistri could instead make a permanent move to Spain with Villarreal ready to reignite the interest they initially showed in the summer.
Although an initial loan until the end of the season remains an option, with United keen to recoup at least what they paid for the 18-cap star.

Pellistri has already had two loan spells in LaLiga, both with Alaves.
And Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag said two months ago: “For Pelli he has to make a step from a bench player, often having a very good impact, to a starting XI player.
“We will see how quick that process will go.”
And one rival for an attacking slot out wide at United is even more likely to move on in January than Pellistri.
Outcast Jadon Sancho appears certain to head out – with old club Borussia Dortmund the favourites to clinch a loan switch.
