THIS uncontrollable horse ‘poleaxed’ seven others and cause a jockey to break his shoulder after going wild at the start of a race.

Ruby Sparkles caused all kinds of chaos in a race at Queensland, Australia, when careering out of the stalls.

Gee, the fav (Ruby Sparkles) took a right hand turn when gates opened at Home Hill,

As soon as the gates opened, the short-price fav veered sharply right with apprentice jockey Gabrielle Semmens helpless to control him.

The amazing domino effect of his argy bargy affected seven horses in all.

But it was unlucky Raul Silvera Olivera who came off worst.

With each horse clattering into another, he fell off his mount Miss Helmut shoulder-first.

It was a minor miracle he wasn’t trampled beneath a sea of legs charging forward at 30mph.

But a suspected broken shoulder was bad enough for the unfortunate rider.

The only horse not to get impacted by Ruby Sparkles’ antics was the horse drawn on the inside barrier.

Nine Carats, a 7-1 chance, jumped out smartly and swerved the early skirmish, winning by three quarters of a length.

The 18-1 outsider Brave Missile finished second under rookie jockey McKenzie Apel, who did a brilliant job just to stay in the saddle.

Although it wasn’t quite as good as Joe Anderson’s ‘greatest ride ever seen’ at Plumpton earlier this month.

Still, footage of the chaos Down Under was shared widely online with one viewer commenting: “Crikey!”

Another wrote: “In many ways very lucky the injuries were limited to one rider – it could have been much, much worse.”

While a fellow punter said: “Pleased to hear injury confined to one Jockey – albeit one too many!”
