Tyson Fury reveals wife Paris fears he ‘could die at any moment’ in the ring but reveals two reasons why he still fights

TYSON FURY admits his wife Paris still fears he could lose his life every time he steps inside the ring.

Dotting wife and soon-to-be mum of seven Paris has been by her husband’s side for every step of his glittering 13-year professional career.

Tyson, 35, has only been in trouble a handful of times in his title-laden run, being knocked down in his 2013 clash with Steve Cunningham and in two of his three fights with Deontay Wilder.

Paris has seen her hubby have his hand raised after each of his pro fights, but that doesn’t stop her from fearing the worst when he goes into battle.

The Gypsy King told The Daily Mail: “It must be horrible knowing your husband can be killed in a fight.

“And you’ve got six kids, seven in a minute, to look after on your own. That’s got to be nerve-wracking. “

Fury – who is gearing up for a controversial crossover clash with former UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou – admits he’d be just as on edge as Paris routinely is if the roles were reversed.

He continued: “If Paris was going into something and I knew she could die at any moment in time, I would be nervous to.

“So, pretty daunting task looking death right between the two eyes every time you climb into a boxing ring.”

The entire Fury family are well accustomed to the dangers which come with the Sweet Science.

Tyson said: “It’s something we get on with. I earn a lot of money.”

Fury has flipped and flopped on retirement several times over the last few years but continues to be bitten by the competition bug – and the multi-million-pound paydays.

He said: “I get danger money and I am well paid for it.

“We know the risk going in and it is what it is.”

Paris and the rest of his family, however, wish he would walk away with the sport while he has all his faculties.

He said: “Nobody wants me to box anymore in my family.

“I’ve got too much to lose. But, it’s something I like to do so the ball keeps rolling.”

Fury has been open about his desire to keep fighting until he can no longer maintain his high levels in the gym and in the ring.

But he said: “It’s no secret that my mind changes like the wind or the weather, in the UK anyway.

“One minute I am here and the next minute I am retired. Who knows.

“But, one thing I do know is enjoy it while you can because there will never be another Tyson Fury ever.

“Never has been one before me and there never will be one after me.”
