As the camera panned to the crowd, jubilant scenes were shown among the fans.
But one woman then suffered an unfortunate moment as she jumped up and down and accidentally exposed herself on live TV.
The footage was shown in slow motion.
Turkish channel TRT Spor released a statement apologising for the coverage.
They also insisted the host American broadcaster was to blame for the “unwanted image”.
They said: “This image, which is completely contrary to our publication policy, originates from the US broadcaster and the discomfort felt by this situation has been conveyed to the other party.”
A press release was then released by the broadcaster the following day.
It read: “We would like the public to know that the shooting and direction of the match was carried out by the US broadcaster.
“Therefore, this image which is completely contrary to our publication policy, originates from the US broadcaster and the discomfort felt by this situation has been conveyed to the other party.
“TRT, in its capacity and responsibility as Turkey’s public broadcaster, will continue to be a strong supporter of Turkish sports.”
Turkish media have reported the woman was subjected to threats and insults online, before she closed her social media accounts.
