Top men’s team plot Sarina Wiegman move after England manager guided Lionesses to World Cup final
SARINA WIEGMAN is being targeted by Holland to become their next men’s national team manager.
According to The Telegraph, Dutch football chiefs have privately said that Wiegman would make a list of candidates for the job.

The Dutch boss guided England to the final of this summer’s Women’s World Cup, the Lionesses’ best-ever performance at the tournament.
Despite losing to Spain on Sunday, the England gaffer has been hailed for her achievements since taking over.
After replacing Phil Neville in 2021, she won a maiden Euros last summer before this year’s run to the final.
Her tenure with the Lionesses has not gone unnoticed and she could now be in line to become the next manager of the Dutch men’s national team.
The report adds that she had been certain to be on a shortlist of candidates, but that her candidacy is now even stronger after reaching a fourth straight major international final.
However, she is said to have told the FA before the loss to Spain that she has “no plans to leave” her current role.
Wiegman remains under contract until after the Euros in 2025 and has even been tipped to succeed Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
She has previously managed her native Netherlands’ women’s team, taking charge for four years before joining England.

During that time, she won the Euros in 2017 and followed it up by reaching the final of the 2019 Women’s World Cup.
Ronald Koeman is the current manager of the Netherlands, having replaced Louis van Gaal after last year’s World Cup.
Although he has a contract through to 2026, he has since lost three of his four matches in charge, with his only win coming over Gibraltar.
As for Wiegman, her attention will now turn to the Nations League, which gets underway against Scotland next month.
