"The Owusu Project" nominated for Most Influential Youth NGO

The Owusu Project – the brainchild of Ghana star Samuel Owusu has been nominated for the Most Influential Youth Non-Governmental Organisation 2021.The Al-Fayha winger has embarked on a number of philanthropic projects aimed at alleviating the plight of the under-privileged in society.The 24-year-old donated health products to Ghanaian clubs in the combating of the global pandemic novel coronavirus.The Saudi Arabia based forward donated 120 boxes of hand sanitizers to the Ghana Football Association which was subsequently shared among clubs in the country in the fight against the deadly disease.Premiership, Division One and Women’s Football teams were the beneficiaries of these products as they all seek to prevent the widespread of the coronavirus.The talented Ghanaian superstar also donated items worth thousands of cedis to an orphanage in the Central Region two days to Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in March 2020.The gesture by the Black Star wideman has not gone unnoticed as he has been nominated for Most Influential Youth NGO by the Ghana Influential Awards Festival 2021.
