Tennis star banned until 2039 for match fixing, illegal betting and bribing officials in exchange for wildcards
TENNIS star Aaron Cortes has been slapped with a 15-year ban after admitting 35 corruption charges.
The Spaniard is not allowed to play, coach or attend any tournament until 2039.

Cortes fixed matches, bet on his rivals, failed to report corrupt approaches and bribed event chiefs.
The 29-year-old is said to have given officials cash in exchange for a wildcard.
On top of his ban from the tennis, the player has been fined £59,000, with £44,000 suspended.
Cortes’ offences took place between 2016 and 2018.
A statement from the International Tennis Integrity Agency said the player, “co-operated fully with the investigation and accepted an agreed sanction”.
Cortes reached a career-high ranking of 955 in singles.
He pocketed £17,000 in earnings during his days as a professional.
Cortes is not the only tennis star to be banned for match-fixing in recent years after former Grand Slam doubles player Alexis Musialek was hit with a lifetime ban.
Four years ago, highly-rated wonderkid Youssef Hossam was kicked out the sport after his brother Karim was banned two years earlier for similar offences.
And in 2021, Yana Sizikova was arrested in her hotel room at the French Open over match-fixing claims.
