Team GB win second Paris Olympics medal as Anna Henderson survives rain-soaked chaos in cycling time trial
GREAT BRITAIN have won their second medal of Paris 2024 as Anna Henderson finished second in the Women’s Individual Time Trial.
This comes just hours after diving duo Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen secured bronze in women’s synchronised 3m springboard.

The Herts rider, 25, managed to deal with the horrible, slippery conditions that befuddled several experienced riders, especially on the cobbles.
Her time of 41:09.83 was only beaten by Australian champion Grace Brown, who was 91 seconds ahead.
In a tense finish, American Chloe Dygert fell less than a second short of Henderson’s time to end up in third place.
It was a nail-biting wait as Dygert rounded the last corner with the clock ticking down.
Henderson – from Hemel Hempstead – pulled off the first shock of the Olympics, after standing outside of the favourites ahead of the Games.
Dame Kelly Holmes sitting about 10 seats away from me under a black umbrella, was up on her feet, reliving her Athens 2004 experience.
Eurosport pundit Jo Rowsell said: “That was simply phenomenal. That is a career best result for her, out of everything she’s won previously, this is by far the best.”
Henderson was a promising alpine skiing junior but after fracturing her leg, took up cycling as part of her rehab – she quit skiing in 2016.
