Super Bowl 2024 LIVE — Chiefs and 49ers battle in overtime as George Kittle returns to game after injury scare
THE Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers is in overtime.
Patrick Mahomes’ led the Chiefs on a game-tying field goal drive late with under two minutes in the game to send the game to overtime.
Mahomes overcame his early second-half interception and threw his first touchdown of the game to Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Meanwhile, 49ers TE George Kittle headed to the locker room with a shoulder injury but quickly returned to the game.
It was an eventful first half as Travis Kelce got into a heated exchange with head coach Andy Reid throwing his helmet and pleading with him to “keep me in.”
For the 49ers star LB Dre Greenlaw collapsed on the field as he was about to run on the field after a Chiefs punt return and injured his Achilles taking him out for the rest of the game.
