Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl praises Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu for "good job done" against Chelsea

Southampton FC boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has praised Mohammed Salisu for a “good job done” during Saturday’s draw against Chelsea.Salisu made his first Premier League start, lining up at centre-back in the 1-1 stalemate against the Blues. The 21-year-old, who has had a wretched time with injuries since arriving at Saints last summer from Real Valladolid produced an outstanding display on his premiership debut at St. Mary’s Stadium. This was Salisu’s third appearance for Southampton after playing 90 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup and also coming on as a substitute against same opponent in the league.Hasenhuttl told the Daily Echo: “I think he did a good job.”He is a real defender I think. That is what he shows and with the ball also, good game management.”We didnt play that much football I think. We can do it much more.”But it was a lot of pressure on the ball and then its not so easy to be calm and find the right decisions. But I was happy with him, definitely.”
