And the jockey, who is a well-known Arsenal fan, couldn’t resist letting loose with a cheeky verbal jab at the former Spurs striker
McCoy said: “Ex-Tottenham player, he’s never been on a winning podium before has he?”
However, Keane in fact won the 2008 League Cup with Tottenham.
And this was a fact he refused to let slide, with McCoy later revealing Keane had reminded him of his 2008 victory off-air.
But fans loved McCoy’s dig, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One user said: “Love AP McCoy dissing Robbie Keane. ‘He’s never been on a winner’s podium before’. Love it. COYG.”
A second user commented: “Go on AP. Giving it to Robbie Keane. .”
A third remarked: “Get in Sir Tony .”

While a fourth added: “Tony McCoy ‘That’s Robbie Keane in the winners enclosure. Ex Tottenham, he’s never been there before!’ .”
While Spurs have not been fortunate to pick up another trophy since their 2008 triumph, Keane has been.
After moving over to Major League Soccer, Keane picked up three league titles with LA Galaxy.
