Richie Myler hopes to hear Warrington fans groaning after once cheering him
RICHIE Myler hopes to increase the moans from Warrington’s terraces by showing their fans what Leeds can really do.
Many of the grumbles that echoed around the Halliwell Jones Stadium last season are coming back as a flying start rapidly disappears into the past.

Boss Daryl Powell’s flyer started with a 42-10 hammering of the Rhinos but losses to contenders at Helens, Wigan and Catalans have been followed with one win in three, most recently the 23-14 reverse at second bottom Castleford.
And former Warrington man Myler wants to hear those who once cheered him complaining as that would mean Rohan Smith’s men have turned up.
He said: “We didn’t put in a good showing when we last went there and at clubs like Warrington and Leeds, you have a certain expectation to perform.
“It comes with a club of their size and expenditure, everything that’s put into them. There’s a certain level of demand and all the top teams have that.
“If you don’t perform well, you cop the flak and rightly so.
“We know we have the potential. It’s about giving ourselves a chance in games and working hard for one another.
“Not making too many silly errors either, that was the biggest thing we learned from the previous two matches.
“Let’s be honest, we had it handed to us playing Castleford and Wakefield and not coming up with the performance we wanted.
“But in spells, we’ve been good – we’ve gone to Wigan and St Helens and won.”
Myler and Leeds are jubilant after hammering Huddersfield 54-0 in a match he scored one try and had a role in four others.
It also carried added emotion as legend Rob Burrow looked on after adding his magic to his family’s ‘takeover’.
Now to kick on and show it was not just a one-off, although the man living with motor neurone disease is an inspiration.

Myler, 33, added: “Last week was a really good team performance, everything stuck and we had a really good intent from the start.
“And it was a night that was bigger than rugby league really. We felt it even in the warm up.
“I was fortunate to play in Rob’s game in 2020, which will stick with me forever. That was one of the most emotional games I’ve ever been a part of.
“And the way rugby league has got behind the MND community, supporting his family and everyone else living with it, has been superb. You could really feel that against Huddersfield.
“We really looked after our own and also wore a shirt inspired by Doddie Weir, which we didn’t do justice to at Magic Weekend. We did it proud.
“We were good as a group and each man did their job. If we can collectively do that on a more regular basis and stop hurting ourselves, we’ll have more of a chance.”
