Premier League Manager of the Season: Bookies reveal odds as clear favourite emerges
THE Premier League’s Manager of the Season shortlist is out as six of the top flight’s best battle it out for the top gong.
But if the betting market from Betfair is to be believed, it’s a bit of a one-horse race.

That’s because leading the way at an exceptionally low 1/5 is – perhaps unsurprisingly – Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
City are odds-on to win a treble this season and could wrap up the league title for the fifth time in six years this weekend.
Huge results over Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Arsenal in recent weeks have the Cityzens in a strong position to clinch a coveted three trophies, with Guardiola very much at the heart of it.
It’s a strong shortlist the Spaniard leads, with the other five contenders all doing their own stellar jobs at their respective clubs.
Eddie Howe is the second favourite at 8/1 having guided Newcastle to within three points of Champions League football.

Mikel Arteta
Roberto De Zerbi
Unai Emery
Pep Guardiola
Eddie Howe
Marco Silva
A return to the biggest European stage could come much earlier than Howe and co could have imagined but one of those top spots could be wrapped up this weekend.
Mikel Arteta comes next at 9/1 after a thrilling season with Arsenal which has seen them blow up in recent weeks.
The Gunners were well on course for the title themselves until dropped points against Brighton, Manchester City, Southampton, West Ham and Liverpool in the past six weeks.
Still, it’s been a memorable season for the North Londoners, who will have Champions League football back at the Emirates for the first time since 2017.
Roberto De Zerbi is also a 9/1 shot having steered Brighton to a high finish in the league – regardless of where they end up.
The Seagulls still have their sights on a Europa League spot as they play catch-up in the league given their FA Cup run.

De Zerbi took over from Graham Potter as a relatively unknown replacement and has taken them to a whole new level with his style of play which is bound to have attracted some top clubs across Europe.
Marco Silva is 16/1 for taking Fulham to within touching distance of a top 10 spot on their return to the league.
They need just two points from their last two games to wrap up tenth and leave rivals Chelsea trailing in the bottom half to further compound their misery.
They’re only six points off Tottenham in seventh – a Spurs side who were in the top four mix-up not long ago – which shows how strong a campaign they’ve had.
As to have Aston Villa, with Unai Emery the final contender at 25/1, having taken Villa to within a couple of games of a European spot.
Only Manchester City have taken more points than Villa in the last 20 games which shows their dramatic upturn in form and they just need to better Spurs’ results from now to the end of the season to clinch a European spot.
