A POOL player has left fans stunned after hitting the “shot of the century”.

Carl Morris, who is nicknamed Houdini, pulled off an incredible trick shot in a recent Ultimate Pool tournament.

Carl Morris was left in a tricky position with the cue ball covered

He managed to pot the last red after pulling off a brilliant spinning trick shot

With two balls blocking the cue ball from having a clear shot at the last remaining red, Morris was left with mission impossible as he could not even use the cushions to his advantage.

So instead he spun the cue ball with an incredibly difficult shot that saw the cue ball spin backwards to hit the red.

And not only did it made contact, it potted the ball and set up a shot on the black.

The extraordinary shot, which Morris described as “one in 10,000 or one in 100,000”, took commentators by surprise.

One commentator reacted saying: “Oh my god! What a shot. That is mental!”

His co-commentator added: “That is one of the greatest shots we have seen at Ultimate Pool. That is outrageous. Absolutely outrageous.”

He said: “I think pool was a lifesaver for me because it was a sport where I didn’t need to communicate.

“I mean, I’ve done some spectacular shots in the about three decades that I’ve been playing, but I don’t think I’ve quite done anything like that.”
