A first-half blitz saw Arsenal race into a 3-0 lead before showing their resiliency to deny Spurs a famous comeback.
They are one point clear of defending champions Man City, who still have a game in hand.
And with favourable fixtures in their remaining three games, Arsenal’s title bid will surely go down to the wire.
But there were ugly scenes at full-time yesterday as riot police clashed with fans outside Tottenham’s stadium.
Some supporters could be seen being knocked to the floor.
While another was visibly dragged along the ground in front of stunned onlookers.
Various projectiles were also hurled at the police, who were covered in riot gear and high-vis jackets.
Reports from the ground suggested the clashes were between cops and Spurs fans.
Meanwhile, another video emerged showing police clashing with home fans inside the ground as another group watches on.
They were allegedly angry after some Arsenal fans snuck into the home end of the Tottenham stadium.

The clips come after one Gunners supporter was filmed celebrating while in the Spurs stands.
The Australian fan flew from Down Under for the once-in-a-lifetime game.
However, he claimed to have not realised he had purchased home seats until he arrived at the stadium.
The crafty supporter geared himself in a half-and-half scarf to blend in.
But at full-time, he proudly unzipped his jacket to reveal the Arsenal shirt underneath as disappointed Spurs fans streamed past him towards the exit.
It prompted Gunners fans to chant: “We are the Arsenal, we’ll sit where we want!”
Speaking outside Tottenham’s stadium, the undercover Gunner said: “I just got off a plane last night from Sydney, Australia.
“I came straight to Tottenham’s stadium. I bought my ticket in Sydney. I didn’t realise I was in the Tottenham section.
“Obviously we win 3-2. I go up to the barrier and I see all the Arsenal fans and I couldn’t help myself. I honestly couldn’t help myself.”
