Piers Morgan and Paige Spiranac rage at ‘bonkers’ moment from Team USA that hands Europe the Ryder Cup
PIERS MORGAN and Paige Spiranac were both left baffled after Rickie Fowler conceded a putt to hand the Ryder Cup to Team Europe.
Fowler faced Tommy Fleetwood in a singles match-up needing a point to keep the USA’s hopes of a comeback alive.

Fleetwood got off to a better start and went ahead after the second hole – a lead he never relinquished.
The Brit grabbed a two-up lead on the tenth so when he played a magnificent tee shot on the 16th he was all set to take the win.
Team Europe needed just half a point to claim the cup thanks to John Rahm, Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlory and Tyrell Hatton all scoring points earlier in the day.
That meant Fleetwood had two shots to put in after hitting the green to claim the win – but he only needed one.
His first effort left him two or three yards short of the whole, enough for Fowler to concede – handing Europe a Ryder Cup victory.
Piers was shocked by the gimme, and labelled Fowler “bonkers” for giving up the game.
He tweeted: “I wouldn’t concede this putt to one of my sons, let alone to gift the opposition a Ryder Cup. It’s not ‘good sportsmanship’, it’s bonkers.”
Paige, who is a big fan of Fowler, agreed with Piers‘ view and criticised the American for his concession.
