Palermo have celebrated Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah who turns 29 today (Tuesday).Acquah joined the developmental squad of the club in 2010 – going ahead to spend two seasons with the senior side between 2011-2013.Palermo subsequently farmed him out on back-to-back loan to Parma, 1899 Hoffenheim and Sampdoria.The Ghana international is fondly remembered at Palermo after he made his debut against Fiorentina on February 13, 2011 in the Italian Cup.He also played 37 matches for Palermo, won the Italian Cup and qualified for the Europa League play-offs losing to Swiss side Thun on the away goal rule having tied at 3-3.The Ghanaian subsequently played for Italian outfits Torino, Empoli and Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor
