Our reality TV show caused family divide but it brought us together with help of baby daughter Esme, says Logan Paul

LOGAN PAUL revealed baby daughter Esme helped bring his family together – after filming their TV show threatened to divide them.

The celebrity household put their lives out there like never before for an eight-parter airing on HBO’s Max.

Called Paul American, the series – which was years in the making – draws back the curtain on the good, the bad and the ugly.

Logan told SunSport: “This show has caused a few divides in the family, which sucks for us, but it’s great media.

“We’ve shown our whole lives on camera, on YouTube and the internet primarily, and we felt like Max was an outlet where we could go even further.

“I don’t know why we felt like that, but maybe because it’s Max and it’s like an incredibly prestigious platform.

“So we really put it all out there for everyone to judge and and and hate on us. It’s pretty sick!”

The show stars Logan, 29, and brother Jake, 28, as well as loving-mum Pam and no-nonsense dad Greg.

Logan’s fiancee – Danish supermodel Nina Agdal – and Jake’s newly-engaged partner – Dutch speedskater Jutta Leerdam – also feature throughout.

And Logan welcomed baby daughter Esme into the world last year.

Her arrival was a timely one for the family after the show itself took its toll – but the series also played a part in reconciliation.

Asked if his newborn helped bring the family together, Logan said: “Yeah, oh for sure.

“My daughter Esme, it was amazing for everyone. But, so did the show, to be honest.

“There’s been divides, and issues with how the episodes have turned out, some people don’t like certain episodes, other people don’t like others.

“It has really brought the family together, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.”

Logan – who is signed to the WWE – admits in one episode that he fears for Esme’s teenage years.

And he said: “I think whether you have a son or a daughter, like the teenage years generally are like the rebellion.

“See it’s a dog eat dog world out there and there may be a tipping point where your child starts to resent you for XYZ.

“Maybe they go through a phase that is inherently problematic.

“I mean, I’m a new dad, but I think that when children become teenagers, they start to develop  their personality.

“They feel like they don’t need their parents anymore, and with that comes maybe some disconnect, I don’t know.”
