FORMER NFL player OJ Simpson has died after battling cancer.
Simpson became infamous in 1994 after he was charged with killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
His six-month, nationally televised trial was one of the highest-profile criminal cases in modern American history.
Although the trial brought up Simpson’s history of domestic violence against Brown, he was controversially acquitted in January 1995.
Before the murders, the former running back spent 11 seasons in the NFL, playing for only the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
He was 76 at the time of his death.
