Nzema Kotoko adopts Tarkwa Akoon Park as new home venue, set to host Proud United today

Nzema Kotoko have adopted the Akoon Park in Tarkwa as their new home ground after being rejected by cross-town rivals Karela United.Ampain-based side will host Proud United at the same venue which host Premier League side Medeama in a Division One match on Wednesday.Kotoo are seeking to use Medeama’s home ground as their new base after being rejected by Karela United and Sekondi Hasaacas.Nzema Kotoko have notified the Ghana Football Association over a change of their homeThe Nzema-based side have been on a hunt for a new home ground after the Azuleloanu SDA Park was rejected by the Club Licensing Board before the start of the season.The club were forced to relocate to the Gyandu Park in Sekondi after their cross-town rivals Karela United rejected a request to co-share the Crossby Awuah Park.They have now set their eyes on the Akoon Park after it became increasingly clear the Gyandu Park was financially draining the club financially while results has become difficult to achieve.They now want to share the Akoon Park with Medeama.The Mauve and Yellows co-shared the same facility with Karela United – whose CAM’s Park was undergoing reg-rassing and re-construction.The two-time FA Cup holders host giants Hearts of Oak at the same venue on match day-12 of the Ghana Premier League on Thursday.
