The Nigeria Professional Football League entered its Matchday 23 today as most teams played out a draw in a fierce and very competitive League.
Enugu Rangers 0-0 Sunshine Stars
Rangers looking to seal up continental football for next season as they sit third on the NPFL log after a stalemate against visiting Sunshine Stars of Akure.
Nasarawa United 1-1 Remo Stars
Remo Stars are having a superb season that will never be forgotten in the club’s history as they push harder for a top four finish to the season.
The Club’s top scorer, Andy Okpe put the visitors ahead after connecting well with a beautiful pass from Qudus Akanni to find the net in the 49th minute.
The lead didn’t last long as the host responded five minutes later from King Osanga’s deflected freekick.
Wikki Tourist 1-1 Kwara United
Another game that ended in a draw as Ex CHAN Eagles Player Abubakar Aliyu gave the home team the lead with a superb volley.
A late response from Kwara United’s Abdulsalam was enough to deny Wikki Tourist the maximum points.
Gombe United 1-1 Akwa United
The Defending Champions have been in a very impressive form since the appointment of Deji Ayeni as the coach.
Akwa United are still unbeaten after a draw against Gombe United today.
The away side went in front in the 16th minute after a good strike from Adam Yakubu but the lead didn’t last too long as Gombe responded well in the 36th minute from the penalty spot.
Shooting Stars 3-0 Lobi Stars
Shooting stars of Ibadan recorded their biggest win of the season with an unbelievable all round performance from every department of the team today.
Two quick goals from Emmanuel Lucky in the 3rd and 18th minute and a goal from the substitute Ayo Adejubu ensured that Lobi stars go back to Makurdi with a heavy defeat.
There are two games tomorrow as Plateau United host MFM FC while Rivers United host Enyimba.
