Nottingham Forest release THIRTEEN players including £40k-a-week star who last played three years ago

NOTTINGHAM FOREST have released THIRTEEN players – and lost a further five thanks to their loan deals ending.

Forest escaped relegation from the Premier League in 2023-24 despite a four-point deduction for breaking financial rules.

But their squad has taken a major stripping back thanks to contracts expiring.

That includes £40,000-a-week Harry Arter – who last played for the club in January 2021.

Arter joined from Bournemouth in 2020 and made all 15 of his appearances for the East Midlanders in the first half of the 2020-21 season.

His final game was a 1-0 FA Cup win over Cardiff – a staggering 1,243 days ago.
