No joy for King and Queen in Epsom Oaks as winning jockey says ‘I’m just like Del Boy Trotter!’ after Ezeliya victory
PUNTERS saw millions go up in flames as red-hot favourite Ylang Ylang was turned over by Ezeliya in the Epsom Oaks.
While there was no joy for King Charles and Queen Camilla either as their horse Treasure failed to land a blow and finished 11th of 12.

The money was down for record-breaking trainer Aidan O’Brien’s star filly and she was smashed into almost evens by the off.
But Ryan Moore couldn’t get her going down the hill while Chris Hayes stole a march on legendary Irish handler Dermot Weld’s 13-2 chance.
Hayes said after victory: “I’m just like Del Boy Trotter – I’m bluffing my way through!
“Dermot’s a master trainer. And this horse is a professional.
“She’s a strong-travelling filly. She did everything right, not a step did she take wrong.
“I just wanted to keep momentum on her and angle her out at the top of the straight and she just leapt onto the bridle again. I knew she’d stay and I knew she had class – it’s brilliant.”
Weld last won the Oaks – the top race in the world for three-year-old fillies – 43 years ago, before jockey Hayes was born.
Southampton boy Charlie Appleby’s Dance Sequence did brilliantly well to finish second at 7-1.
While there was a shock in third as War Chimes rounded out the places at 50-1 for trainer David Menuisier.
The King and Queen arrived in a huge helicopter and waved to the crowds as they made their way to the Royal Box.
The Monarch, 75, has been ‘supercharging’ his diary since returning to royal duties as doctors revealed they were pleased with his recovery.
And they both looked to be in brilliant spirits as they mixed with racegoers on the Surrey track’s two biggest days of the year.
