Famous celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim recently shared snaps of the latest haircut he has given to MS Dhoni.

The pictures show the 42-year-old sporting long, wavy hair and streaks.

Hakim was inspired to transform Mahi’s hair after he stumbled upon a fan-made image of the former Indian skipper and was left fascinated.

He said: “Before the last IPL season when every player was cutting their hair harp and short, Mahi showed me a fan-made picture of him and I loved the look.

“I requested him to grow his hair out so that I could give him the fan-made look.

“I have always been a huge fan of Mahi’s classic long hair look…we decided to create a new texture for the timeless hairstyle.”

This is not the first time when the legendary cricketer sported a long hairstyle.

Dhoni rocked a shoulder-length hairstyle just when he started playing for the Indian national team.

During the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, Dhoni made a huge mark leading the team to win their maiden title in the tournament.

It was also the time when he gained a massive fan following and his long hair became immensely popular – so much so that many fans tried to ape his long locks.

He changed his hairstyle after the tournament and since then, the former skipper has always sported short hair – until now.

Fans are considering Dhoni’s latest hair transformation a “lucky charm” for the Indian cricket team ahead of their journey in the ICC World Cup 2023
