MLS side Columbus Crew part ways with Emmanuel Boateng

 Ghanaian footballer Emmanuel Boateng is set to part ways with Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew.The former Right to Dream Academy player joined Columbus Crew from D.C United in August 2020 but has struggled for game time.Columbus Crew acquired the Ghanaian via a trade with D.C. United in exchange for defender Axel Sjoberg.According to reports, Columbus Crew has no plans of extending his contract which will see him exit the club before the start of the new season.The former Helsingborg IF winger made 12 appearances for the MLS side last season all coming on as a substitute.Before joining MLS, Boateng spent three seasons with Helsingborgs IF of the Allsvenskan Swedens top-flight from 2013-2015. During his time in Sweden, the midfielder made 37 appearances, scoring four goals.
