Michael Owen jokingly threatens to walk off BT Sport camera over Rio Ferdinand’s comments before Real Madrid vs Man City
MICHAEL OWEN jokingly pretended to storm off BT Sport’s coverage of Real Madrid’s clash with Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men played out a 1-1 draw with Pep Guardiola’s side in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Bernabeu.

Before the game, much of the talk was about Man City‘s 51-goal man Erling Haaland.
And BT Sport pundits Owen, Ferdinand and Joleon Lescott were discussing the ex-Borussia Dortmund man with presenter Jake Humphrey.
During the conversation, Humphrey took it upon himself to compare Owen with Man City’s Norwegian superstar.
He said: “It reminds me of [when] you know you used to watch Michael Owen and be like ‘He will just score today because he does’.
“You watch Erling Haaland and you think ‘He’ll just score today’.”
That prompted Ferdinand to turn to Owen and add: “He’s too humble to say that. He’s too humble to say. It’s a Ballon d’Or winner standing next to us. It’s unbelievable.”
Smiling but looking somewhat embarrassed, Owen then replied: “I’m off,” before he pretended to walk out of shot.
Humphrey then ended the segment by saying: “During the ad break he [Owen] will wax lyrical to us about his Ballon d’Or.”

Owen was the last Englishman to win the Ballon d’Or when he claimed the award back in 2001 at the age of just 22 – while playing for Liverpool.
Joining him on the podium that year was legendary striker Raul and iconic keeper Oliver Kahn.
A star-studded top 10 also included David Beckham, Francesco Totti, Luis Figo, Rivaldo, Andriy Shevchenko, Thierry Henry and Zinedine Zidane.
Owen is one of just four English players to have won the Ballon d’Or – along with Stanley Matthews, Bobby Charlton and two-time winner Kevin Keegan.
