Massive Royal Ascot shake-up as John Gosden reveals big fav Inspiral set to dramatically switch races
THERE was a massive shake-up in the Royal Ascot markets after John Gosden revealed one of his best horses of the week was set to dramatically switch races.
Inspiral had been the 3-1 market leader for the 1m Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes – the first race of the festival next Tuesday.

But speaking on the Nick Luck podcast, Clarehaven boss Gosden said he was now considering stepping her up in trip.
Inspiral is now seemingly being aimed at the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes over 1m2f on Wednesday.
She was immediately pushed out to 6-1 for the Queen Anne while, at the time of writing, she was hammered into 11-2 best price from 12-1 for the Prince Of Wales’s.
Gosden said: “No final decision yet on Inspiral. We’re going through the whole thing.
“We are leaning towards the Prince Of Wales’s – I can say that clearly and that is probably the direction we will go.”
Multiple Group 1-winning sensation Inspiral was disappointing on seasonal return in the Lockinge.
She was beaten 13 lengths into fourth by 22-1 outsider Audience – who looked to only be in the race as her pacemaker.
Gosden revealed five-year-old gelding Audience, who, like Inspiral is owned by Cheveley Park Stud, is set to keep his place in the Queen Anne, where he is a best-price 11-1.
Auguste Rodin is the 15-8 fav for the big race on Wednesday – worth £567,100 to the winner – while Irish raider White Birch is 5-2.
Gosden added: “She’s a Frankel and I trained the mother and she’s a talented filly and the the family has middle distance (pedigree).
“When she went to California… it’s a fast mile and a quarter at Santa Anita and she flew at the finish
“Frankie Dettori had trouble pulling her up. We’re leaning that way with Inspiral but it’s not decided yet.”
