Mario Balotelli needed just four minutes to demonstrate his capabilities on Monza debut

Mario BalotelliFormer Italy international Mario Balotelli proved he still one of the deadliest strikers in the world despite being out of action for than four months.Balotelli made his debut for new club AC Monza last Wednesday. It was his first competitive match since March 9, 2020, when he featured for Brescia in their 3-0 defeat against Sassuolo.The Ghanaian started for Monza against league leaders US Salernitana and took four minutes to announce his presence after he tapping in from a Carlos Augusto pass.The former AC Milan’s star goal propelled Monza to record a 3-0 victory which moved them into top three of Italian second division.Balotelli joined Monza, a club owned by former Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, in December as a free agent.He had been without a club since Brescia terminated his contract in June last year.Balotelli has teamed up with Kevin-Prince Boateng to help Monza secure promotion to the Italian top-flight this season.
