Sabitzer, 28, praised the manager’s tactics as well as the atmosphere he has fostered in the dressing room.

The Austria international was thrown straight into the team following Casemiro’s suspension but he revealed he is happy to play and did not rule out a permanent stay.

He said: “It’s a loan at the moment, that’s all I can say.

“I like it here. I’m feeling very good here. I like the team, I like the club, the atmosphere in Old Trafford.
