SIR JIM RATCLIFFE has reportedly agreed a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United.
The British billionaire was initially interested in buying a majority share but he adjusted his offer for a quarter after no progress was made with his earlier proposal.
It comes Sheikh Jassim PULLED OUT of the running to buy Manchester United after the Glazers rejected their latest bid for the club.
After nearly nine months of detailed negotiations, the Qatari banker has withdrawn his £5bn bid and told the Glazers he is no longer interested in any deal.
