But he fell ill during England vs Germany after celebrating Raheem Sterling’s opener.
Neville, 49, required medical attention after suffering a fit which made him freeze.
He said on the Stick to Football podcast: “I fainted and had a fit. Little things happened.
“It was England vs Germany in the Euros. Raheem [Sterling] scored that first goal and I went bang! Literally went down. I was frozen.
“They took me up the steps into this little room and sat me in a wheelchair for half an hour and did all my bloods and everything.
“I went to hospital, little things came out of it after. A bit of medication.”
The rest of the guests on the show helped Neville see the funny side and Roy Keane could not resist a chance to poke fun at his former United team-mate.
He quipped: “Who lifted you up?” after Neville explained he was helped from the floor after his fit.

Neville previously revealed he made some lifestyle changes after being warned to “slow down” by doctors.
He said: “I have [made changes] but then it is the actual sustaining of the changes and not dipping back into your old habits. That is the problem. So what do I do? I train four to five times a week.
“I have a sleep ring, it focuses me on the time I need to sleep at night. But I don’t always wear it. It’s in my bag, I didn’t wear it last night and I am annoyed at myself because I didn’t wear it.
“I forgot to put it on when I got back. Habits, you drift back into your old habits. I try not to pick up my phone when I first wake up but I am failing miserably at that.”
