Man Utd ‘in shock talks to sign Jack Butland from Crystal Palace’ after end of Martin Dubravka loan transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED are in talks over signing Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to reports.
The Red Devils are supposedly keen to bring in a new back-up stopper after Martin Dubravka’s loan deal at the club was ended by Newcastle.

Butland played 15 times for Palace in all competitions last season.
However, the 29-year-old has now has fallen down the pecking order at Patrick Vieira’s side after sustaining an injury – he has not made an appearance during this campaign.
With his minutes restricted by both Vicente Guaita and Sam Johnstone, United believe a deal is possible, claim The Telegraph.
Butland is an experienced goalkeeper who has had spells at the likes of Birmingham, Stoke and Leeds.
He has also been capped nine times by England and been named in two squads for major tournaments, the Euros in 2012 and the World Cup in 2018.
Man Utd seem keen to add another keeper to the team with Tom Heaton the only senior replacement for David de Gea.
They have a busy fixture list approaching with the club still going strong in all competitions.
If Butland is signed he will likely only play matches in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, unless De Gea picks up an injury or gets surprisingly dropped.

Manager Erik ten Hag has opted for the Spaniard in the Europa League and Premier League matches.
United have been linked with a number of top goalkeepers such as Porto’s Diogo Costa and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Yann Sommer.
But these are seen as potential De Gea replacements in the summer as his contract is set to expire and are reportedly unlikely to arrive in January.
