MANCHESTER UNITED have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of Harry Kane.

Kane, 30, is tipped to leave his boyhood club this summer after entering the final year of his contract.

The England captain has stayed loyal after having a move to Man City blocked two years ago.

But he is now reportedly looking for a fresh start so he can add a much-needed trophy to his barren cabinet.

Real are leading the race for Kane after losing Karim Benzema in a shock move to Saudi Arabia.

The Spanish giants have wrapped up an £86million move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

And Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to add Three Lions pal Kane to his stable of stars as well.

However, AS claims Real’s move for the talisman is now in doubt thanks to Daniel Levy’s demands.

The Tottenham chief is reportedly refusing to sell for less than £100m, despite Kane’s age and contract status.

Real have no intention of meeting that figure.

And they are also less than keen to agree to Kane’s wage demands — said to be over £17m a year.

The report goes on to claim that Kane has now been removed from Real’s shortlist, despite Ancelotti still being a major fan.

And that could open the door for long-term suitors Man United to make an approach.

The Red Devils also need a new No9 as they look to compete on four fronts next term.

Kane is reportedly open to moving to Old Trafford, but Spurs boss Levy is unlikely to shift from his astronomical asking price.
