Man Utd fans reckon Erik ten Hag is ‘getting sacked sooner than we think’ as they’re stunned by team selection vs Fulham

ERIK TEN HAG’S first line-up of the Premier League season has not gone down well with Manchester United fans.

The FA Cup champions begin their campaign at Old Trafford tonight as Ten Hag looks to make the most of his second chance.

But the Dutchman’s decisions to start Alejandro Garnacho on the bench and drop Jadon Sancho have not gone well.

Mason Mount and Amad Diallo have been deployed on the flanks, with Marcus Rashford leading the line.

One fan wrote: “This man is getting sacked sooner than we think cos Why bench delight and Garnacho??”

Another added: “What does Garnacho have to do to start.”

A third blasted: “GIVE SANCHO A CHANCE !!!”

A fourth wrote: “Telling me Rashford starts over Garnacho… ok.”

Fans were also not happy to see Harry Maguire‘s name on the team sheet with new signing Matthijs de Ligt on the bench.

Fellow new boy Noussair Mazraoui was deemed ready to get the nod from the off at left-back.

One fumed: “no de ligt but mazraoui is starting.”

Another commented: “De Ligt benched by Maguire?”

Ten Hag saved his job by winning the FA Cup but knows he will be walking a tightrope this season.

United legend Gary Neville was not convinced about how his former club will fare in their current shape.

The Sky Sports pundit said: “At the moment with Rasmus Hojlund injured Manchester United are going to play with a 4-4-2.

“When they attack, Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford will be higher.

“I feel it makes them more solid, but whether it is the long-term solution – who knows?”
