Man Utd fans beg Ten Hag to play McTominay up front instead of Weghorst as Scotland star ‘cooks’ Spain with TWO goals
Manchester United fans are begging Erik ten Hag to play Scott McTominay up front ahead of Wout Weghorst after he “cooked” Spain with two goals.
The midfielder thumped home on seven and 51 minutes to put Scotland 2-0 up in their home Euro qualifier – having also netted twice in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Cyprus.

And one supporter posted: “It started as a joke but Scott McTominay might genuinely do a better job for us up top than Weghorst.
Another wrote: “McTominay is cooking Spain, Two goals for McTominay as it stands.”
And a third said: “Should just play as our striker for the rest of the season.”
McTominay’s early breakthrough punished Pedro Porro’s slip on a slippery Hampden Park.
The Tottenham right-back tried to let the ball go out but Andy Robertson nipped in to cut the ball back for McTominay, who fired the ball home like a… striker!
If Scotland fans were struggling to contain their joy at that stage, they were ecstatic after the United star’s second.
Kieran Tierney surged down the left for a cross that David Garcia got a touch to but could not stop McTominay blasting home.
Compliments poured in like: “McTominay is simply on fire! He is showing Spain who’s boss with his unbeatable scoring streak. Keep it up.”
Similar verdicts were, “absolutely tremendous” and “great player”.
