MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool have set their sights on signing Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko, according to reports.

The 17-year-old has been one of the standout players in the Bundesliga this season.

Moukoko, who made his Dortmund debut the day after his 16th birthday, has established himself as a regular starter under Edin Terzic.

The teenager has scored six top-flight goals, already four more than he managed throughout the whole of last season.

As a result, the highly-rated forward is wanted by United and Liverpool.

According to Sport Bild, the Premier League rivals are set to battle it out for the Dortmund star.

The report claims that Moukoko could cost £26m.

Regardless, he will be hoping his explosive form will earn him a place in the Germany squad for the World Cup.

He’s yet to win a senior cap for his country, but he’s scored six goals in five Under-21s games.

He said: “It can never hurt to have goal-scoring players in the squad.”
