Man City next manager odds: Pochettino favourite to replace Guardiola, Arteta, Zidane and Conte shortlisted, Klopp 25-1
MAURICIO POCHETTINO is favourite to succeed Pep Guardiola as manager of Manchester City.
That’s according to bookmakers Betfair, who’ve installed the highly-rated Argentine at 7-2 to be appointed at the Etihad Stadium.

Pochettino remains a free agent having been relieved of his duties at Paris Saint-Germain in July.
The 50-year-old finally got his hands on silverware by winning the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France during his short-lived tenure.
He’s also got experience in managing some of the best players in the world with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar under his tutelage during the 2021-22 season.
Bayern Munich’s dynamic boss Julian Nagelsmann is next in the betting at 5-1, locked together with Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane, 50, certainly knows how to achieve European success having won the Champions League as a player and on three successive occasions as a manager.
Mikel Arteta is available at 15-2.
The Spaniard is uniquely positioned for the role having worked as Pep Guardiola’s assistant, helping the club to back-to-back league titles.

Pep Guardiola’s future has hit the headlines in recent days after Manchester City were charged by Premier League for numerous alleged breaches of financial rules.
The club could be hit with sanctions including fines, points deductions and even being expelled from the division entirely.
Guardiola once said that he would resign from his post if his employers have lied to him over financial rule breaches.
He said in May 2022: “Why did I defend the club and the people? It’s because I work with them.
“When they are accused of something I ask them: ‘Tell me about that.’ They explain and I believe them. I said to them: ‘If you lie to me, the day after I am not here. I will be out and I will not be your friend any more.”
