According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the centre-back will be announced by the end of the day.

Documents are being finalised by both parties and the England Under-18 international will soon cross over to the blue side of Manchester.

Parker has chosen City over their local rivals, who offered the defender their “highest youth deal” in a bid to try to keep him.

While the Red Devils made a significant contractual offer, they were unwilling to break their wage structure and meet demands for a higher salary.

The moves comes after United signed Darren Fletcher’s 16-year-old twin sons Jack and Tyler from the Citizens’ academy during the summer transfer window.

Now the Treble winners are hitting back by landing one of the Red Devils’ most promising young stars.
