Luke Humphries comes up with incredible theory why Stephen Bunting has had an awful start to Premier League Darts season
LUKE HUMPHRIES reckons Stephen’s Bunting’s woeful start to the Premier League is down to the BUZZ of his walk-on.
Former Masters champion Bunting currently sits bottom of the Premier League table having won zero matches in seven outings.

However, ‘The Bullet’ has put in some impressive performances in defeat at the major, averaging over a ton in three of his seven matches.
Bunting has also won a World Series title this year and reached the semi-final of the World Championship.
World No.1 Humphries has questioned whether Bunting’s popular walk-on song (Titanium by David Guetta ft. Sia) has impacted his darts.
He told talkSPORT: “I don’t know if the walk-on song has affected him a little bit at the start.
“Nathan (Aspinall) had this problem, he told me that the buzz is so high for the first couple of legs it’s hard to come down from.
“Mine is not as big as Stephen’s and Nathan’s obviously, when you got that massive buzz, for the first two legs, you’re kind of waiting to come down a little bit and he (Bunting) hasn’t had a great record of winning the first couple of legs.
“So, I said to him ‘When you do your walk-on, do it, and then give yourself 15 or 20 seconds at the table before you go and throw your practice darts. Allow yourself to come down from that adrenaline a little bit’.”
Former World champion Humphries currently sits second in the Premier League, six points off Luke Littler.

‘Cool Hand’ had a great start to the tournament recording two weekly wins within the first five weeks.
The Cheshire thrower is coming off the back of three consecutive quarter-final losses for the first time in his career at the major.
Despite losing 6-4 to Michael van Gerwen in Cardiff in Week Seven, Humphries averaged 101.93 and hit a brilliant 121 checkout against the Dutchman.
Humphries will face Chris Dobey next week in the Premier League at Newcastle.
