Longest-serving player at each Prem club includes forgotten Arsenal and Tottenham stars with combined 19-year stays

IT’S rare to find a classic “one club man” in the Premier League anymore.

The days of Ryan Giggs and Tony Adams are gone with clubs always shopping around for the world’s best talent.

And that means that players don’t often stick around at their clubs for very long at all.

But some still find a stadium they can call home and decide to stay put for as long as they possibly can.

Here SunSport looks at each Premier League club’s current longest-serving player and there’s certainly a few surprising inclusions.

Including forgotten stars from both the red and white sides of North London.

Wolves – Max Kilman

Despite only arriving at the Molineux from Maidenhead United in 2018, Kilman is the current longest-serving player at Wolves with four years and nine months at the club. 4y 9m

Aston Villa – John McGinn

Nobody has been at Aston Villa longer than captain John McGinn with the Scot racking up over 200 appearances in five years and two months with the Villans. 5y 2m

Chelsea – Trevoh Chalobah

It’s not surprising that will Chelsea’s transfer madness their longest-serving player would be an academy graduate, Chalobah has been with the Blues for almost six years, but has only played 63 games. 5y 7m

Brentford – Rico Henry

Rico Henry has made over 200 appearances for the Bees since joining from Walsall in 2016 and helped them them earn promotion into the Premier League. 7y 1m

Burnley – Johann Gudmundsson

Iceland international Gudmundsson has been with Burnley since 2016 when The Clarets earned promotion to the Premier League under Sean Dyche and has remained ever since. 7y 2m

Arsenal – Mohamed Elneny

Elneny is one of the few Arsene Wenger players to survive the Mikel Arteta revolution at the Emirates and after Rob Holding left for Crystal Palace this summer he is now the Gunners’ longest serving player. 7y 8m

Nottingham Forest – Joe Worral

Worral has been with the Tricky Trees since his academy days and despite a flurry of loans he has already racked up 223 appearances for the club. 7y 10m

Manchester City – Kevin De Bruyne

It took two attempts at the Premier League for Kevin De Bruyne to crack it but eight years, five league titles and one Champions League later and he has become a club legend at Man City as their longest-serving player. 8y 2m

Liverpool – Joe Gomez

After joining from Charlton in 2015, Gomez has struggled for regular game time at Liverpool but is often still called upon to step up when needed. 8y 4m

Fulham – Marek Rodak

Fulham goalkeeper Rodak has the impressive feat of averaging less than ten games per year for the Cottagers during his spell with the club. 9y 3m

Sheffield United – Chris Basham

Basham has played just shy of 400 games for The Blades and was along for the ride in their journey from League One back to the Premier League. 9y 4m

Manchester United – Luke Shaw

A solid option at Old Trafford since his arrival from Southampton in 2014 and took the mantle as longest serving player when David De Gea left this summer. 9y 4m

West Ham – Aaron Cresswell

Another left-back and another solid option. Cresswell has amassed an impressive 334 appearances for the Irons since he arrived from Ipswich nine years ago. 9y 4m

Luton Town – Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu

Perhaps the most impressive achievement on this left, Mpanzu became the first ever player to rise all the way from the National League to Premier League with the same club. 9y 9m

Bournemouth – Adam Smith

Smith has had two separate stints in the Premier League with Bournemouth and has stayed with the club through their ups and downs during his nine years on the south coast. 9y 9m

Tottenham Hotspur – Hugo Lloris

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Hugo Lloris had left Spurs, but in fact he still remains in North London and is their longest-serving player with over 11 years at the club. 11y 2m

Crystal Palace – Joel Ward

The Eagles captain is a favourite of boss Roy Hodgson and he’s now part of the furniture at Selhurst Park. 11y 4m

Newcastle – Paul Dummett

You would expect Newcastle’s Saudi takeover to see the back end of a number of pre PIF signings… you’d be right. Paul Dummett hasn’t played a league game since February 2022. 12y 3m

The closest this list will get you to a true one club man is Lewis Dunk. The Englishman has been with Brighton since his academy days and barring three games on loan at Bristol City he has never left the Seagulls. 14y 3m

The Premier League’s longest serving current player is Seamus Coleman. In just shy of 15 years with the toffees, Coleman has amassed a whopping 409 appearances and can always be called upon when needed. 14y 9m
