Hansen smiled alongside former Everton and Crystal Palace winger Alan Irvine as he came out carrying his milk and soup from the store.
The former defender was decked out in a navy jacket, navy trousers and black leather shoes.
Hansen fell ill in June and had to be hospitalised – prompting emotional tributes from players and colleagues.
Liverpool confirmed he was very unwell without giving details of his condition.
However, he battled through and was allowed to complete his recovery at home.
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker said the announcement of Hansen’s discharge was “the best news ever” while Alan Shearer shared three clapping emojis.
Close friend and former Reds team-mate Graeme Souness provided updates for fans after keeping in regular contact with the three-time European Cup winner.
Speaking in June, Souness said: “Anyone who’s met Alan once, you know he’s got a wicked sense of humour.
“So, for two conversations with him in the last five or six days, both conversations were me on the receiving end of his humour.
“So that tells me he’s on the way back.”
In July, Hansen was seen publicly for the first time since his health scare.
The ex-Match of the Day pundit enjoyed a round of golf near his Southport home.
An onlooker told the Mirror: “He looked great, and was clearly enjoying himself. He was full of smiles.”
‘Jockey’ played 620 times for Liverpool between 1977 and 1990 after joining from Partick Thistle, winning eight First Division titles.
