Dual Cheltenham Festival winner Corach Rambler is the current 6-1 favourite with bookies to win it for Scottish trainer Lucinda Russell.

But a whole host of big names including Gordon Elliott’s Delta Work and last year’s winner Noble Yeats are preparing to take their shot at the £500,000 prize.

Few know what it takes to win over the Aintree track like McCoy and Geraghty though.

McCoy won the the race on Don’t Push It in 2010 for trainer Jonjo O’Neill and iconic owner JP McManus.

While Geraghty was victorious seven years earlier on 16-1 Monty’s Pass for trainer Jimmy Mangan.

Here, the two former riders tell broadcaster Nick Luck what goes through their mind as they thunder over the four mile-plus track.
